Abstract                                                                                                                 

Aims: Vesselplasty is a new minimally invasive technique Early reports for its use in treatment of osteoporotic vertebral  fractures is studied.

Background: Osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures of the vertebral column are becoming very common due to increasing  average life expectancy in geriatric patients.many of them have multiple medical problems with increasing age. There is need of minimally invasive non fusion technology to treat such fractures with safety.Number of treatments like Verteboplasty,Kyphoplasty are in vogue.

Material and Method: 5 Patients of age 60 years and above having vertebral compression fractures due to osteoporosis, not responding to the conservative treatment underwent vessalplasty using vessel X- IMPLANT.They underwent this minimally invasive treatment under local anaesthesia by transpadicular approach.

Result: All5 patients had good increase in height of the vertebral bodies,they were pain free to do activities of daily living in postoperative period and had dramatic improvement of VAS score.

Conclusion: Vesselplasty is a new technique for consideration, in the treatment of the osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. It prevents cement leakage, improves the height of the vertebral body
