Abstract                                                                                                                 

Background Context– The author’s aim isto  report a case of a patient who developed a late prevertebral  cervical  abscess with discharging sinus over posterior triangle of neck following  anterior corpectomy and fusion which required Radical Neck dissection  approach for removal of infected implant. Exploring both triangles of neck via radical neck dissection approach was essential for complete excision of sinus track and removal of screw.

Purpose : To report a case of  unusual presentation of late prevertebral abscess with discharging sinus over posterior triangle of neck.

Study Design: A Case Report

Methods:  This is a case report, so no comparison groups.

Result: Complete healing of sinus over posterior triangle of neck after complete excision of sinus track and removal of screw

Conclusion:  Radical Neck dissection approach for removal of infected implant  was required for late prevertebral  cervical  abscess with discharging sinus over posterior triangle of neck following  anterior corpectomy and fusion.
